School Gates
Please note that the school gates do not open until 8.20am each day. You should time your child's arrival as close to 8.20am as possible so as to minimise waiting time, especially in wet and cold weather. Young children should not be left unsupervised at the school gate.
The School Day
The period between 8.30am and 9.00am is an important part of the school day. If for any reason you arrive late, your child's usual entrance door will be open until 8.50am. After this time, children must be signed in at the main office and they should then make their way to their classroom. In order to minimise disruption to the class, you should not accompany your child into the classroom. If you need to speak with the Class Teacher, Andrea or Bernadette will be happy to arrange a meeting for you.
New Security Procedure
If you need to collect your child early from school for any reason, it will be necessary for you to sign your child out in the Sign Out Book at Reception. As the office closes from 12.00noon to 12.30pm daily, please try to ensure that you collect your child before or after these times. If however, you must collect your child from the yard area, please ensure that you speak to a staff member on yard duty.
Lunches
Forgotten lunches, schoolbags, etc. may be left into the main office, and should be clearly marked with the child's name and teacher.
Celtic Travelling Book Fair
The Book Fair will be in the school from Monday 20 November. It will be set up in the stage area at the back of the PE hall. (Entrance via the door to the front of the teachers' car park). Feel free to call into the school at dropping and collection times to browse through the selection available. This is a great opportunity to get started on your Christmas shopping! The more books you buy, the more books the school will receive to help to stock the school library.
