As soon as a child starts school their parent/guardian automatically becomes a member of the Parents Association.
The Parents Association is a member of the National Parents Council - Primary (NPC) and is governed by the Parents Association Constitution.
The PA Committee is made up of parents/guardians elected at the Annual General Meeting, usually held during the first term of school. The Committee consists of up to 22 members and meets once a month.
The Parents Association Committee supports the Board of Management, Principal, staff and the parent body in many ways in order to enrich and improve every child's experience in St. Patrick's National School.
Each class year should have at least one parent who is a Committee member.
