Leaving School Early/Late Arrivals

  • The teacher should be notified in advance if possible, should a child need to be collected early. Pupils who leave before the end of the school day must be signed out at Reception.
  • Children who arrive after 08.50am are late for school and must enter the building through Reception and be signed in.
  • If you need to collect your child during the school day, please do not do so during break times (10.20-10.30am and 12.00-12.30pm) as the children will be on yard at these times. Your cooperation in this matter would be very much appreciated.

Phones for Boards
The Jack & Jill Foundation in association with Promethean are inviting schools to collect and swap unwanted mobile phones for a new Promethean interactive whiteboard. We have registered for this campaign. The deal is for every 300 old mobile phones collected, participating schools earn a 78inch Promethean ActivBoard. See www.phonesforboards.com for further information. A collection box is in place inside the main door of the school.

Dropping in lunches, schoolbags, homework etc.
Please ensure that if you are dropping in any of your child's forgotten belongings e.g. lunches, bags, homework, etc., that they are clearly marked with your child's name and their class teacher.

The format for the day will be the same as the last time when the children took part. Please note that spectators/supporters are welcome to attend on the day. All competitors should wear their school tracksuits and have some suitable clothing in case it rains on the day. They should also make sure that they have snacks and extra drinks with them.

GAA
Our boys Gaelic Football teams were playing last Tuesday in Páirc Tír na nÓg in the finals of the local league. One team played St Francis Xavier's N.S. and the other team played Scoil Thomais. In the SFX match, our team dominated the first half and did enough to capture the cup. Against Scoil Thomais, the match was very close; however, we lost by a few points. Well done to everybody who played! Mohammed & Joachim - 6th Class
