After School Collection Arrangements
Please inform your child to go to reception if he/she is in any doubt about the cancellation of an extra curricular activity or collection arrangements. We will then try to make contact with parents/collectors.
Change of Contact Details
If you have changed your mobile number since your child started school with us, please fill in a Change of Contact Details Form which is available from the office. Please ensure any changes to your contact details are advised on this form. This will ensure that you receive all communications promptly.
Access to Classrooms After-Hours
With the exception of those attending Extra Curricular Activities, children are not permitted to re-enter the classroom after 2.10pm. If in an absolute emergency (forgotten books and general belongings is not an emergency!) a child needs to gain access to his/her classroom outside school hours, the following procedure must be followed:
All school personnel have been made aware of this procedure and have been asked to ensure it is followed.
2nd Parents Communion Meeting
The second meeting for Parents of children preparing for their First Holy Communion will take place in St Mochta's Parish Centre at 8pm on Tuesday 19th January, 2010. The meeting will look at the importance of the Word of God. At least one parent should attend this meeting.
Extra Curricular Activities
Sporting Activities - New Courses (3rd - 6th Class children only)
Tennis will begin on Tuesday 19 January from 3.05-4.00pm.
Volleyball resumes on Wednesday 20 January from 3.05-4.00pm.
Table -tennis will start on Thursday 21 January from 3.05-4.00pm.
Badminton starts up again on Friday 22 January from 2.10-3.05pm and from 3.05-4.00pm. Children will be informed, before Friday, which badminton session they have been allocated.
Please note that all the above courses will run for 8 weeks and equipment for all activities will be provided. The cost for each course is €24.
French for Children - La Jolie Ronde French classes 3-12 years
Come and join the cast of over 90 children learning French the fun way at St. Patrick's School in Diswellstown Community Centre. Classes start again next week (week beg. 18th Jan 2010) on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays here in St. Patricks. Newcomers and friends from other schools are welcome to join with you. Classes are suitable for all children, boys or girls, big or small from from Junior Infant up to 6th class, grouped per age. French native teachers. Pre-school class also. La Jolie Ronde Spanish Classes (3 - 12 year olds)
Classes begin again this week at DCRC/St Patrick's NS. Also, new half hour classes starting this term Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (from 1.15PM) and Saturdays from 9.30AM due to extra demand. These structured yet fun classes are proving a great success. Class sizes are small (max 12/class) so please book asap to be guaranteed a place. Children of Lir Gymnastics Club
Children of Lir Gymnastics Club has brought forward it's plans to introduce into it's Saturday schedule "Acrobatic Gymnastics", this discipline could be described as an infusion of choreography, acrobatic skills & balances to music, it is all about team work and the categories are Men's Pair, Women's Pair, Mixed Pair, Women's Trio, Men's Four, it is open to 6yrs, class time 11.15am-12.45pm, more information can be found on www.lirgymclub.com or call the Club on 085-7218511

Touch-type, Read and Spell
Touch-type, Read and Spell is a computer based literacy course for children with Dyslexia and other learning difficulties. It is being run locally in Castleknock Community College on Wednesday afternoons for 1 hour during school term time -2 classes - 3-4 p.m. and 4.30-5.30 p.m. To reserve a place please contact Carol on 087 2868910 for further details.
