Parent/Teacher Meetings
The INTO (Irish National Teachers Organisation) and IMPACT have directed their members (Teachers and SNAs) not to attend Parent Teacher meetings outside school hours. This includes formal parent teacher meetings, informal meetings and phone calls.
The Board of Management has made the following arrangements for Parent/Teacher Meetings. The meetings will take place during the week commencing March 8th. The children will be dismissed at 12 noon on Monday 8th to facilitate a Staff Meeting as previously advised. School will finish for children at 12.50pm for the remainder of the week. Parent/Teacher Meetings will commence at 1pm and finish at 2.10pm each day from Tuesday to Friday.
Administration of Medication
Non-prescription medication is not permitted in school. Under no circumstances should any medication be placed in a child's schoolbag. The school does not consider requests to administer antibiotics, throat spray, etc. Children who have Asthma and need to use Inhalers/Ventilating Flasks should be able to self-administer under adult supervision in so far as this is possible. You need to make the class teacher aware of the condition. However, if your child suffers from a condition that necessitates regular administration of medicine during the school day or which may necessitate administration of emergency medication, you need to speak with Ms Power (Special Needs Coordinator) who will arrange for the child's medication needs to be met. You should also inform the class teacher of any medical condition.
Photographs Policy
We would like to put samples of children's work on the school website. We would also like to include photographs of pupils engaged in school activities on both the website and occasionally in newspapers/other publications. The Board of Management has decided to seek general parental consent in these regards. Names of the children will not be included. Parents are free to withdraw consent at any time. Please fill the attached form and return it to your child's class teacher on Monday.

We have registered for this campaign. The deal is for every 300 old mobile phones collected, participating schools earn a 78inch Promethean ActivBoard. See www.phonesforboards.com for further information. A collection box is in place inside the main door of the school. Perhaps you could ask family and friends who may have received a new mobile phone for Christmas to help us to acquire a new Interactive Whiteboard for the school by donating their old mobile phone!
