Ireland's biggest school's photography competition is back!!
The highly successful Bord Gáis Energy "Capture the Power" photography competition is launched for its second year. The aim of the competition is to support learning in schools through the use of photography and enhance pupil's understanding of energy and how it relates to their everyday lives and interests. Bord Gáis Energy are inviting students of all ages (primary 5-9 yr olds and 10-13 yr olds) to capture the energy in the world around them on a camera. Just look around and capture the ENERGY in your world on a camera.
Boys and Girls, you can find ENERGY everywhere & anywhere... For example a crashing wave, a gusting wind or a towering tree. At a local sports event, it could be a crunching tackle or fan going wild. It's your choice and you're only limited by your imagination. Your challenge is easy, just capture what you feel shows ENERGY and write a few words about it before sending it into Bord Gáis Energy. Competition closes on 26th March. There are lots of fantastic prizes to be won and entering couldn't be easier. So grab your camera, and start snapping! Mums and Dads, we need your encouragement... Competition details (and examples) are available at www.capturethepower.ie
