Sponsored Walk
A reminder that the PA Annual Sponsored Walk takes place this Sunday 25 April at 3pm at the Papal Cross Car Park in the Phoenix Park. It has always been a great family event and we would encourage as many families as possible to attend on the day!

Internet Safety Course
While the Internet is a valuable resource, parents should continue to exercise vigilance in relation to their children's access to and use of the Internet. An information evening for parents has been arranged for Monday 27 April, at 7pm in the school. Some places still available - please text Marie on 087 9935551, if you would like to attend.

"Sport for All" Days
The first of our "Sport for All" Days will be for children in 3rd - 6th class. This will be held on Wednesday 28 April (weather permitting). Children need only bring a lunch to school (as schoolbags will be left in school the day before). Extra drinks are recommended. If strong sunlight is forecast, please apply sunscreen and a sun hat is advised. Children should wear cream T-Shirt (i.e. their PE poloshirt - no football jerseys please) and their school tracksuit (grey long pants or grey school shorts are permitted) and suitable footwear. (Apologies for any confusion caused by last week's reference to "white T-Shirt").
Other Sport for All Dates for your Diary:
Wednesday - 19 May 1st & 2nd Class
Wednesday - 16 June Junior Infants/Senior Infants (separately)

Dublin 15 Cross Country League Finals
The Finals take place in Morton Stadium, Santry on Tuesday 11 May from 10.30am-1.00pm. All spectators welcome!

Supervised Homework for 5th & 6th Class Children
5th and 6th Class children are welcome to use Board Room 1 (Fingal Board Room) to do their homework (supervised by a member of staff), Monday to Thursday from 2.10 - 3.30pm. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Priority will be given to children attending for the full week (Mon-Thu). Suggested donation to school: €10 per week. Small snack will be provided. Please email info@stpatricksns.ie if interested.

Appeal for Volunteers
Each year the Parents Association Committee, together with parent volunteers, hosts a much appreciated reception in the School Hall following the First Holy Communion Ceremony. The success of this event is very much down to the parent volunteers on the day, so we are appealing to you for your help. Please volunteer to help with serving refreshments, decorating the School Hall, or help with stewarding in the church and/or school car park. If you are available and would like to volunteer, please call/text Karen on 087 4187253 or Bridin on 086 3845931.

Trip to Intel
"On Wednesday 21 April, we went to Intel to collect a cheque for the school. After that, there was refreshments and we got a tour of Intel. The cleanest room in Intel only had one dust particle in the whole room! It was great fun! We met the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport." Sergei, Matthew & Mufaro - 6th Class
Junior Infant Vaccinations
The Northern Area Health Board Doctor visited the school on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 April to administer 4-in-1 (Diptheria/Tetanus/Pertussis/Polio) and MMR (Measles/Mumps/Rubella) vaccinations to Junior Infant classes. We sought clarification from the HSE as to what times parents had been given to attend. We were informed by a representative in the Immunisation Department that parents had not been invited to attend this year due to the backlog as a result of the Swine Flu vaccinations.
