Junior Infants September 2011
Registration will take place on 15, 16 and 17 November 2010.
Sibling Applications can be dropped into the office at any time during 15, 16 and 17 November. All Applications must be received by end of school day on 17 November.

Parent/Teacher Meetings
Parent/Teacher Meetings will take place on 23, 24 and 25 November between 2.20pm and 4.00pm.  Appointment details to follow. 

“Be Safe, Be Seen” Poster Competition
Fingal Poster Competition to design an A4 poster using the catch phrase “Be Safe, Be Seen” and win a little prize.  The competition is open to children from 2nd to 6th classes.  Entries are to be submitted by Friday 19 November.  Posters will be collected from Classrooms.  Please remember to write your NAME, TEACHER and CLASSROOM on the back of your poster. “Ben & Savanna”

Science Week
“On Wednesday, the Science Club went to ITB (Institute of Technology Blanchardstown). We saw a bubble show and played lots of fun games, like “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”. Sean and Eoin – 5th Class

Christmas Concert in Belfast

  • Children performing in the concert in Belfast will be allowed to travel home with their families BUT ONLY IF THEY HAVE SIGNED OUT after the concert. No child will be allowed to leave after the concert without parental signature. Further details will follow closer to the time.
  • Children must get the bus as a whole group to the venue. Audience members will need to make their own way. If there are a number of you, perhaps you could get together to travel and share cost?
  • The bus is free of charge for the children as the cost is being covered by the concert organisers.

Education session on Bullying - 2 December 2010 - 7.30pm
In response to parents' request, the Parents Association Committee has organised for an expert speaker from Trinity College Anti-Bullying Centre to come and present to parents on the topic of bullying.   The talk will cover - what bullying is, the different types of bullying, signs of being bullied, what to do if your child is being bullied, what to do if your child is bullying others, collaboration with the school in resolving the bullying behaviour, cyber-bullying. Please note the date in your diaries for this important event.   

GAA
GAA for the 4th, 5th and 6th Class girls will be starting next week.  Training will take place on Thursdays after school (Weather Permitting).  There will be a short meeting at big break on Mondayin the PE Hall for any girls that are interested.

All Ireland Champion visits St Patrick’s
“Last week, Dublin footballer Niamh McEvoy brought the Brendan Martin Cup to our school.  The cup was won by the Dublin Ladies Gaelic team when they won the All-Ireland final.  We helped Niamh bring the cup around to show all the children.”

Christmas Fair 28th November Volunteers and Donations Needed

Every week until the Fair on Sunday, 28th November, parents will be able to drop all donations of bottles, toys, books, DVD’s, games and unwanted presents at the school, on the following days and times:
Tuesday & Thursday     Mornings     8.20am to 8.40am  
Afternoons  1.00pm to 1.20pm and 2.00pm to 2.20pm
Wednesday                     Evenings     7.30pm to 8.30pm (via Blanchardstown Door)

Christmas Fair Raffle
This year we have some fantastic prizes for the Christmas Fair Raffle.  1st Prize is a Samsung Netbook, 2nd Prize Canon Digital Camera, 3rd Prize Westpoint 1 Year Membership , 4th Prize Sony Ericsson Zylo Jazz Mobile Phone, 5th Prize 4 Tickets for Disney On Ice, 6th €100 Voucher Brannigan Meats, 7th Prize €50 Voucher Heatons.  Every child in the school will have received a book of tickets this week. Parents/guardians are under no obligation to buy these tickets. Please return counterfoils and money or unsold tickets to the class teacher by Thursday 18th Nov.  Tickets are €2 each or €10 for a book of 6 tickets.  Good luck in the draw and Thank You!
