Mid-Term Break
The school will be closed from 21 – 25 February inclusive for Mid-Term Break.  It will reopen on Monday 28 February at 08.30am.

Staff Meetings
The school will not close early for Staff Meetings in March, April or May.

Parents Confirmation Meeting
The next Parents Preparation Meeting for Confirmation will take place in St Mochta’s Parish Centre on Tuesday 15th February 2011 at 8pm.  This meeting looks at the next elements of the Programme covering the Friends program, Retreat and the Service of Light.   Confirmation candidates should also attend on this night as this year we would like them to meet their Faith Friend on the evening.  At least one parent should attend this meeting. If you cannot attend, please contact the Parish office at (01) 8213218.

“Shave or Dye” in aid of Irish Cancer Society
Would you like to support the “Shave or Dye” initiative in aid of the Irish Cancer Society? If yes, one of our pupils, Ellen Spring, is shaving her head! To sponsor her, please go to www.mycharity.ie/event/ellen.  No donation too small!!  Our Board of Management Chairperson, Daniel Collins, is dyeing his hair in support of Ellen but can’t decide on a colour! So, all children are being invited to suggest a colour, drop your votes into the box outside the office.  

Internet Safety
“Safer Internet Day” took place on 08 February.  Guidelines for parents and children regarding safe internet use have been uploaded to our website under our “Home Help” section.  We would urge parents to use the Guidelines.

Lost Property

The Lost Property Press is located inside the Blanchardstown Door of the school.  If your child is missing anything, please pop in at drop off/collection time and take a look.  Any items unclaimed by 18 February will be donated to St Vincent de Paul Shop in Blanchardstown Village.

Parents Association News

Pub Quiz Social
Come meet other parents for fun night out on Thursday 17 February at 8pm in the Clonsilla Inn! Team of 4 is €20. Great prizes to be won. In aid of the Parents Association. Got a great pub quiz question? Mail it to us (with the answer) to stpatrickspa@yahoo.com and we might use it! See you there.

Extra Curricular Activities

Computer Classes
Commencing every Monday at 2.10pm - 3.10pm for 1st - 6th Class & 1.10pm - 2.10pm for Senior Infants in School.  Lessons on Windows 7, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.  All children taught computers in creative ways that they can relate too. Volleyball (3rd – 6th)
A new course of volleyball will begin after the Mid-Term Break, beginning on Wednesday 2nd March with Laurent Couet, coach to Ireland’s National Volleyball Team. Cost: €25 for 8 sessions. Those interested should register on the Sign-on Sheet located at Reception.
