A number of local residents have been in contact with the school in relation to parking in the surrounding estates. We would appeal to all parents to have consideration for our neighbours and if parking in the surrounding estates, not to block driveways and not to park on grass verges. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Fundraiser in aid of St James’s Hospital Chemotherapy Ward
A fundraising event in aid of St James’s Hospital Chemotherapy Ward will take place on Saturday 28 May at 2pm in St Peregrine’s GAA Hall, Blakestown Road. Well known children’s author and storyteller Liam Farrell will perform. This event it being organized by the parents, family and friends of the late Emma Dowling and is suitable for Junior Infants up to and including Fourth Class and will cost €2 per child.
Enable Ireland Bag Collection
Enable Ireland will do a bag collection at the school on Tuesday 28 June. Perhaps you could start collecting your unwanted items to fill a bag. Bags are available at Reception from today.
Booklists
Your child has been given a booklist this week. If you wish to order through the school, please ensure your order is returned on or before 27 May. Payment can be made by Cash (Exact Amount Only Please), Cheque, Postal Order or Bank Draft made payable to “St Patrick’s N.S.”.

St Patrick’s N.S. Summer Camp
Senior and Junior Summer Camp Registration will be held at 2.20pm on Thursday 26 May. Both camps will take place in the school from Friday 01 July to Thursday 07 July and will cost €65 per child with 10% discount for siblings.
Castleknock College First Year 2012
The closing date for receipt of Applications for First Year Boys 2012 is Tuesday 31 May. Application Forms can be downloaded from www.castleknockcollege.ie or collected from the Admissions Office at the College.
Santry Athletics - Dates for your Diary
The school athletics team will compete at the Cumann na mBunscol Athletics Championships on the following dates:
Tuesday 31 May - Field Events (500m, Long Jump and Shot Putt)
Wednesday 1 June - Track Events (Sprints, Relay)
Teams need to be at Morton Stadium at 10.30am. All support is welcome, so if you are free please come and cheer on the team.

School Running Kits
If any children from the cross country team still have school running kits (ie green t-shirt and black shorts) can they please return them to the school early next week? Kits will be collected daily from the classrooms.

Volunteers for Confirmation Reception
This year our 6th Class children are making their Confirmation on Monday 30th May at 11am in St. Mochta’s Church, Porterstown. We are appealing for volunteers to help with the Confirmation reception, which will take place in St. Mochta’s Parish Centre following the ceremony.
We ideally need two groups of helpers, although if you have the time, perhaps you could volunteer to stay for both sessions. The Confirmation ceremony will take approx. an hour and a half – so volunteers will be required to be in the Parish Centre from 9.15am to 11am to help set up, then from 12pm to 2.30pm approx. for the reception (this will include the clean-up following the reception). We appreciate that this may clash with your child finishing school, but would appeal to volunteers to make arrangements for friends/family to collect their children.

Castleknock Hurling & Football Club
CHFC are holding Football Mini Leagues, commencing on Monday 23rd May. Application Forms have been distributed to 1st, 2nd and 3rd classes and should be returned to a club mentor, club coach Brendan Phelan or bring it along on the day.
