Individual and Group photos will be taken in the school on 10th – 12th October. All children should wear full school uniform during the three days, NO TRACKSUITS should be worn.
Presidential Election
As St Patrick’s N.S. is a Polling Station, the school will be closed for classes on Thursday 27 October. It will reopen for classes on Friday 28 October.
Dublin 15 Cross Country League
The Dublin 15 Cross Country League is taking place again this year and once again a large team, comprising of children from 3rd to 6th, will represent our school. The venue is Porterstown Park (beside St Mochta’s Church) and the following are the dates for this school year: 11th Oct, 15th Nov, 6th March and 24th April. Races begin at 11.30 and finish at approx 1.00pm. There will be a Final Race Meeting held at Morton Stadium, Santry sometime in May – date TBC. All parents/guardians are more than welcome to attend and all support is very much appreciated.
School Vaccination Programme for Junior Infants
Information & Consent Forms have been distributed to all Junior Infants today. Please return the completed form to your child’s class teacher by Tuesday 11 October, whether or not you give your consent. Dates for Vaccinations have not yet been advised by the HSE. As only the exact amount for Junior Infants were delivered to the school, if you mislay your child’s form, you must contact 8825000 (HSE, Rathdown Road) for a replacement.
Healthy Lunch Policy
We operate a Healthy Lunch Policy in the school. FIZZY DRINKS, CRISPS OR SWEETS ARE NOT PERMITTED. On Friday, children are allowed one treat, e.g. a bar. Please help us maintain the health of our children by following the guidelines in the School Booklet which is available to view at www.stpatricksns.ie. Labelling/Lost Property
The chances of returning lost property are greatly increased if items are clearly labelled with your child’s name. Please ensure jumpers, cardigans, PE tops, coats, etc are labelled with your child’s name.
Savvy Schools – Important Information Update
The feedback from the parent body re Savvy Schools has been fantastic but if any parent has an issue or query please contact Savvy Schools on 086 7308525. Uniforms may be bought online all year round from SavvySchools.ie or until 15th October, at Savvy Schools, Unit 1 Porter’s Road (opposite Postal Sorting Office), Coolmine Business Park, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. Savvy Schools will be happy to fit & supply uniforms in your home after this date.
Can you help organize the Christmas Fair?
Would you be interested in joining the Christmas Fair Committee – have you held a long term wish to be the person in charge of that Wheel of Fortune, perhaps you have new ideas for stalls or have ideas on how to improve on the existing stalls? The Christmas Fair organising committee would love your input and would really welcome some new members. We will be looking for further volunteers to help out on the big day itself but initially we would love some fresh ideas and some helping hands with all the planning that the event requires. Volunteer Bag Packers URGENTLY Required!
SPNS Parents Association continues fund raising for the school and we need help packing shopping bags at Tesco, Roselawn at the following times: Thursday 13 October from 4-8pm; Friday 14 October 4-8pm and Saturday 15 October from 10am to 8pm. Volunteers will be asked to pack for about two hours. Older kids (aged 10 and older) are welcome to accompany their parents and help. You could win a €50 voucher for Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. Soccer Sisters for Girls aged 8-10
Soccer Sisters is a stand-alone 10-week programme offered by FAI and will begin on Monday 17 October. As numbers are restricted, priority will be given to older children. The course will continue every Monday from 3.05-4.00pm. Children who participate will be given a free soccer kit. The cost of the full 10-week course is €30 and this can be paid to the school in advance or on the day of the first session. Those interested should sign on at Reception.
