It is our plan, going forward, to distribute our weekly Newsletter by email. We will be emailing this newsletter to every parent for whom we have an email address.  If you do not receive the email, please email info@stpatricksns.ie with “Newsletter” in the subject heading, together with the names of your child/children and we will update our database with your email details.

Parents Confirmation Meeting 
The next Parents Preparation Meeting for Confirmation will take place in St Mochta’s Parish Centre on Tuesday 5th February 2012 at 8pm.  This meeting looks at the next elements of the Programme covering the Faith Friends program, Retreat and the Service of Light. Confirmation candidates should also attend on this night to meet with their Faith Friend on the evening.  At least one parent should attend this meeting. Castleknock Community College Assessment Day for Incoming 1st Years 2013
Assessment Day for CCC will take place on Saturday 02 February. A letter has been sent from CCC directly to all parents involved.

Luttrellstown Community College Assessment Day for Incoming 1st Years 2013
Assessment Day for LCC will also take place on Saturday 02 February.  A Subject Options Information Meeting for parents and students will take place on Thursday 07 February at 8pm in Luttrellstown Community College.

Infant Children
Infant children (Junior & Senior Infants) should not be left unsupervised in the yard in the morning.  Parents/Guardians should remain with their child/children until they are passed over to the care of their teacher at 8.30am.  Under no circumstances should Infant children be dropped at the school gate to enter school grounds alone.

Staff Car Park
Please note that parents are asked not to park in the Staff Car Park between 8.00am and 2.30pm, the only exception being parents collecting disabled or injured children.  We would be grateful if you could also inform anyone who may be collecting your child/children on your behalf of this procedure. If you are returning to the school to drop off forgotten lunches, schoolbags, etc. during the school day, we would ask that you park in the bus stop area and enter via the Pedestrian Gate. (Please close gates after you leave).  We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Tigers Afterschool Care
Places are currently available at Tigers Afterschool Care.  Hour Club 1.10 - 2.10pm; Homework Club 2.10 - 3.10pm; Part time care/Full time care, we also have occasional care.  We will cater for your needs. Hour Club and Homework Club places are now at a reduced rate. Please call Manager (Tracey) on 086 2253781.
ACCORD Relationship Programme for 5th & 6th Class
A talk for Parents of 5th and 6th Class children will take place on Wednesday 20 February at 8.00pm in the Tigers Room. Please enter via the Diswellstown (Tigers) door.  Accord Facilitators will attend the school to speak to the children on 26 February (5th Class) and 27 February (6th Class).  Parent Consent Forms and further information will be distributed to the children next week.  Please note forms MUST be returned to the class teacher whether or not you are giving consent for your child to attend.

Showtime!
The choir will be performing in the Helix as part of a show on Saturday 9th February at 7.30pm. Tickets for 'The Sound of Musicals' can be purchased on www.thehelix.ie or 01 700 7000 at a cost of €25. Hope to see plenty supporters in the audience!

Savvy Schools – School Uniform Shop
Savvy Schools will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am until 6pm. The shop is located in Centrepoint Shopping Centre in Blanchardstown. If this arrangement does not suit parents, an appointment can be made outside of these days and times by phoning 086 7308525 or by email to geraldine@savvyschools.ie

Extra Curricular Activities

Badminton
A new Badminton term has just started.  Payment of €25 is now due and can be paid via the school website or directly to the organiser.  If paying by cash directly to organiser, please place in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name and activity. If paying via the school website, please send a copy of receipt to the organiser.

French for Children at St. Patrick’s (la Jolie Ronde)
A few places are left for term 2 in Junior class (Junior infants to 1st class) weekdays & weekends. Senior beginners class is now full. Spaces in early years class for 3 to 5 years old: exciting & fun class, the ideal time to learn. Come and try!  (Also suitable for Junior Infants).
