Dublin Youth Orchestra (DYO)
Congratulations to Molly Murphy-O'Kane (3rd class) and Luke Rynne-Cullen (4th class) on recently getting places in the Junior Orchestra of the DYO. They had their first rehearsal at Sancta Maria College, Ballyroan last Sunday. We wish them every success.
Green Schools
Last week, Ms Barr's class (2nd) visited the Estuary Recycling Centre in Swords and this week Ms Quinn's class (2nd) also paid a visit. The outing was very educational and feedback from both teachers and children was positive.
Lost Property
The lost property box is overflowing with coats, tracksuits, jumpers, cardigans, etc! Any items that are not claimed by 18 May will be donated to charity. If your child is missing an item, please take a look in the Lost Property box beside the Parents Information Notice Board.
Collections during Break time
If you need to collect your child during the school day, please do not do so during playtime (10.20-10.30am and 12.00-12.30pm) as the office is closed and there is no access to the Sign Out Book. This procedure is in place for the protection of our pupils. Your cooperation in this matter would be very much appreciated.

4th Annual St. Patrick's National School Golf Classic
We are delighted to announce the fourth annual St. Patrick's National School Golf Classic, run by the Parents Association as part of the ongoing fund raising for our School. We would like to encourage everyone to participate, submit a team from work, or sponsor a hole or a tee for the day. All of our sponsors will have their name displayed on a Hole or Tee and be acknowledged in the school newsletter. The sponsorship for a hole or tee is only €100. It will take place on Tuesday 29th May 2007 at Ashbourne Golf Club. The first tee is booked from 12.30pm. It will be a 4 ball scramble competition and the entry fee for each team (4 people per team) is €400 or €100 per person. The entry fee will include your green fee and golf grill. The prize giving will be held in the clubhouse later that evening. This is the biggest annual fundraising venture undertaken by the Parents Association. We hope that as many parents and friends as possible will participate. A timesheet will be held in St. Patrick's School. Contact details:

Extra Curricular Activities
All extra curricular activities queries must be directed to the person/persons organising the activity.
Dramaworks (Speech & Drama)
Wednesday 02 May was the final class for Dramaworks. Clodagh Ryan will be in direct contact with parents in June regarding exam results and classes for September.
Foreign Language Classes
Due to the fact that some days will be missed due to school closures/in-service days in the coming weeks, it may be necessary to hold classes on alternative days during May and June. This is to ensure that the full complement of twelve classes be given as planned. Included in this will also be the two lessons that were recently missed due to unavoidable circumstances.
To that end, each child will be given a letter advising of any date changes. This will ensure that parents are given ample notice of any changes. A letter will go home with each child next week. Mr Waring thanks you for your cooperation.
