Green Schools Water Conservation Flag
On Monday 20th May representatives from our Green Schools Committee accompanied by Mr Thynne attended an award ceremony in Croke Park, to receive St. Patrick’s 3rd flag which is for 'Water Conservation'. It’s a great achievement for our school and we now look forward to working towards our 4th flag, which is for ‘Travel’. The Green Schools Committee would like to thank everyone involved in helping St. Patrick’s to achieve its goals and encourage you to continue to maintain the high standards we have set ourselves in 'Recycling', 'Energy Awareness' and 'Water Conservation'. 'Nν neart go cur le chιile!'

Books for September 2013
It is our intention to further expand our free school book scheme from September 2013. Currently the children have access to History, Geography, Science, SPHE, Music books, English Readers, Irish and Religion textbooks in the classroom. Next year’s booklists will not include Maths textbooks or A Way with Words English Book (3rd to 6th class). This will be funded from school funds, PA funds and Extra Payments monies. Each child will have access to the required books for these subjects at school and for homework. In the last week of term, we will buy back second hand copies of Bun go Barr, English Readers, Maths Textbooks (3rd to 6th Class), A Way with Words (3rd to 6th Class) and Alive O Textbooks. We are also delighted to accept donated copies.
Junior Infant Sport for All Day

Volunteers URGENTLY NEEDED to help with Graduation Reception
Dear Parents, a rite of passage we have all experienced is the graduation from 6th class to secondary school. In celebration of this momentous occasion in any young person’s life, St Patrick’s NS are hosting this year’s Graduation Ceremony in the school hall on Wednesday, 19th June. Following the ceremony, the Parent’s Association, with the help of volunteers, offer refreshments to the children of 6th class and their families. Unfortunately, this year’s reception is in doubt due to serious lack of volunteers to help out on the evening. We are appealing for volunteers to help set up for the Reception (6pm-7pm), and/or with serving at the Graduation Reception (8.45pm-10pm). Please text/phone Chris 087 6530389 or Maria 085 7171795 if you are available to help, thank you.
