Halloween Mid-Term Break
The school will close from 28 October to 01November inclusive for the mid-term break. Please note that the children have a full school day on Friday 25 October. The school will reopen at 08.30am on Monday 04 November.

Congratulations to our boys’ football team who qualified for the Cumann na mBunscoil Final which will be played in Croke Park.
Fingal Cross Country League
Well done to all who represented the school at the first meeting at Porterstown Fields on Tuesday. The next meetings take place on 12th November, 4th March (2014) and the Finals at Santry on 8th April (2014).

Meetings with Teachers (pre 8.30am)
Occasionally teachers can arrange meetings for before school hours. If this is the case, please take a seat when you arrive at Reception and the teacher will collect you from there at the pre-arranged time.
Absences due to illness
Whilst there is no need to telephone the school if your child is sick, we would greatly appreciate if you would contact us if your child contracts a contagious illness e.g. measles, mumps, rubella, etc. There are children in the school who are at increased risk of contracting these illnesses. Parents must acknowledge their child’s absence from school, in writing, at the back of the child’s School Journal (Education Welfare Act). Parents of Infants children should speak to the teacher at the class line on the morning of their return.

Christmas Fair 2013
The annual Christmas Fair will take place on Sunday 1st December, 1pm-5pm, so please save the date! We are depending on the support of volunteers to ensure the continued success of this event, so it’s never too late to volunteer. Contact Colette at 087 9380380.
Rainbows
Rainbows – a peer support group for children from 1st to 6th class who have experienced a family bereavement or separation will commence soon in St.Mochta’s Pastoral Centre. Rainbows is a non-denominational programme. Staff Car Park
Parents are asked not to park in the Staff Car Park between 8.00am and 2.30pm, the only exception being parents collecting disabled or injured children for which there is designated Disabled Parking. These parking spots should not be used by any other cars. We would be grateful if you could also inform anyone who may be collecting your child/children on your behalf of this procedure.
Castleknock Hurling & Football Club (CHFC)
