Halloween Mid-Term Break
The school will close from 28 October to 01November inclusive for the mid-term break. Please note that the children have a full school day this Friday 25 October. The school will reopen at 08.30am on Monday 04 November.

School GAA
Congratulations to our boys’ football team who qualified for the Cumann na mBunscoil Final which will be played in Croke Park on 05 November. 4th/5th/6th Class children are welcome to support the team on the day.  Buses will leave from the school and will return at 4.30pm approx.  In order to determine numbers for buses, we ask that you please put a note in your child’s homework journal tonight if you give permission for your child/children to attend.

School Photographs
The Photographer will be returning FIRST THING FRIDAY MORNING to collect orders with payment (Cheque or exact amount please). Please return your order directly to your child's Class Teacher only.

Parents Association News

Date for your Diary - Free Talk for Parents with Sheila O Malley, Thur 14th Nov
The Parents Association as pleased to announce that Sheila O Malley of practicalparenting.ie will return to St Patrick's NS on Thursday 14th November to facilitate a talk for parents entitled "Never do for a child what a child can do for themselves!"  The talk is suitable for parents of children of all ages. 

Reminders

Meetings with Teachers (pre 8.30am)
Occasionally teachers can arrange meetings for before school hours.  If this is the case, please take a seat when you arrive at Reception and the teacher will collect you from there at the pre-arranged time.

Rainbows
Rainbows – a peer support group for children from 1st to 6th class who have experienced a family bereavement or separation will commence soon in St.Mochta’s Pastoral Centre. Rainbows is a non-denominational programme.  If you believe your child or children would benefit from this programme, please contact rainbowsstmochtas@gmail.com  More info available on www.rainbowsireland.com

Staff Car Park
Parents are asked not to park in the Staff Car Park between 8.10am and 2.30pm, the only exception being parents collecting disabled or injured children for which there is designated Disabled Parking. These parking spots should not be used by any other cars. We would be grateful if you could also inform anyone who may be collecting your child/children on your behalf of this procedure.
