Volunteers for Communion Receptions
We are looking for volunteers to help out at this year’s Communion Receptions being held in the Parish Centre on Saturday the 10th and the 17th of May. If you are available and can help serving refreshments between 10:30am and 12:30am please contact Oonagh on 086-3231722 or Yvonne on 087-2371229. All help greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Volunteers for Confirmation Reception
We are kindly requesting parents of this year’s Fifth Class to provide the support (helpers!) to man Confirmation Reception in Parish Centre on Tuesday 20th May.

This help is needed when many parents are either working or collecting children from school and so we have historically struggled with getting sufficient numbers of helpers.  With this in mind we would ask you to consider if you could come together to ‘pool’ school collections on this particular day with friends / neighbours / other parents. We require some help with setting up (9:30 – 10:30am) but most help is needed for 12 – 2:30. Please text Deirdre on 087 624390 to indicate your availability. Thanks for your continued support.

Anti-Bullying Training for Parents - Wednesday 7th May, 7.30pm - 9.30pm, St Mochtas's Parish Centre
National Parents Council Primary and National Parents Council Post Primary have developed an Anti-Bullying Programme for parents of primary and post primary school children. The session runs for two hours and is provided free of charge to parents.  The session will enable you to support your child regarding issues of bullying and will also inform you about the new Anti-Bullying Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools. Please note these sessions have been developed specifically for a parent audience and they are therefore not suitable for children. The training has been organised in conjunction with St Mochta's NS Parent Association and Scoil Choilm's Parent Association.  The talk will take place in St Mochta's Parish Centre and is strictly limited to 100 attendees. Only the first 100 people at the door will be admitted so please arrive early to g! uarantee admittance.

Reminders

Extras Fees
Thank you to everyone who has paid their 2013/2014 Extras Fee.   All 2013/2014 Extras Payments must be paid in advance of Re-Registration for 2014/2015 School Year.  Please note, if your payment is made online, it is essential that we receive a copy of your receipt.  This can be forwarded by email to info@stpatricksns.ie , stating your child/children’s names. Alternatively, a printed copy can be dropped into the office.  This will ensure you are marked off as fully paid on the school database which will automatically send you a text receipt.

Re-Registration Form 2014/2015
Thank you to everyone who has returned their Re-Registration Forms and also to those who have paid their 2014/2015 Extras Fee. We have a number of children on our Waiting List for Senior Infants to Sixth class places for the 2014/2015 school year. It is important that we can confirm as soon as possible whether or not we will have school places for them. Re-Registration Forms have been given to all children (JI – 5th Class).  The form has also been emailed to all parents.  If you have not already done so, we would ask that you return the fully completed form at your earliest convenience, confirming if your child/children will be returning to St Patrick’s for the next school year 2014/2015.  This will also ensure that we have correct contact details, (postal address, mobile numbers and email address) for all parents. You may pay the Extras Fee for the 2014/2015 Sc! hool Year on return of the Re-Registration Form or alternatively defer payment until the new school year. Please tick the relevant box on your form.

Jack & Jill Foundation – Mobile Phone Collection
If you or a family member got a new phone recently, perhaps you would consider donating the old phone to the Jack & Jill Foundation Mobile Phone Collection.  We have a collection box in the main office.  Funds raised by the collection of Mobile Phones go a long way towards looking after very sick babies in their own homes.  For more information, please see www.jackandjill.ie.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
In addition to the above mobile phone collection, we also have collection boxes for Batteries and original HP, Brother, Dell, Samsung, Lexmark & Canon Toner Cartridges for recycling. Collection boxes are at Reception.
