Moving House?
If you are moving house and your child will not be returning to St Patrick’s in the new school year, it is vital that you make contact with the class teacher and the Main Office as soon as possible as it will be necessary for you to complete a Transfer Form. We have a number of children on waiting lists for all classes and we would like to be able to contact these parents as soon as possible.

Cumann na mBunscol Hurling Final
St Patricks NS Diswellstown boys enjoyed a great day out in Croke Park on Monday 9th of June by winning the Cumann Na mBunscol final. It was a convincing performance from the lads who outscored St Marks of Tallaght by 21 points. Cian Boyle was top scorer with an impressive 1-6. The captains Joe Kelly and Stephen Callinan went on to lift the trophy in front of the St Patricks faithful.
Cumann na mBunscol Athletics Championships
Following on from the school's success at the Field Events (many athletes qualifying in their heats for the Finals and some coming first in U14 600m, Shot Putt and High Jump and second in U11 High Jump and U14 Hurdles) we are delighted to say that the school's athletic team gave a fine performance in the Sprint & Relay Events last Thursday. There were 33 schools participating and there were eight relay competitions in total. St Patrick's won three of them while our U10 girls were narrowly beaten into second place. We also had a 3rd placing in the U14 Boys Sprint. Well done to the whole team - a great day was had by all!
"We lifted the cup and got gold medals. We shook hands with the other teams and we watched the other boys and girls from our school....we all had a fantastic day.”
Luke Pettit 3rd Class
“Our school went to Morton Stadium, Santry. The U10 boys came first and the U10 girls came second. The U14 girls and boys came first as well. Our school won three trophies. Everyone who went to Santry had a great time."
Aoife Doherty 4th Class
"Last Thursday some 3rd, 4th 5th and 6th class children went to Santry stadium and ran in events like relay and sprints. We did very well. Our school got 3 trophies! We are all glad our hard work and training paid off."
Katie Zorba 4th Class
Cumann na mBunscol Camogie Final
“On Monday St Patrick’s camogie team travelled to Croke Park to play our Cumann na mBunscol final against Scoil Mhuire (Woodview), Lucan. It was a very tough match, which was hardly reflected in the final score of St Patrick's 4-03, Scoil Mhuire 1-00. It was a great experience for us all. After the final whistle we shook hands with the opposition and were presented with our medals and cup by a member of the Dublin Camogie Board. We celebrated our victory and had our photos taken together.” Ciara Hogan (6th Class)
Howzat! Cricket team clinches place in final
“Our cricket team continued their amazing run in the Leprechaun Cup last Friday against St John Bosco in the north Dublin semi-final at Porterstown. We bowled first with Adam Byrne taking four wickets and Oisín Dillon taking a further two. We bowled them out for 79 runs. Then it was our turn to bat. With Cian Boyle hitting 25 runs and Alex Watson hitting 20 it was a great partnership. But it was getting close and we won it with the last ball with Rhys Costello hitting an amazing boundary to clinch the match! We had scored the 80 runs we needed to win. It was by far the hardest match we had played, and we are really looking forward to the final next week.”
Ben Harding (6th Class)
Return of School Running Kits
Can all children please return their running kits (black shorts, emerald green t-shirt and athletics singlet) over the next few weeks? These should be washed and returned in a bag with your child’s name clearly marked on it as all items must be signed back in. Bags will be collected from classrooms daily.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 26th September @ 4.00p.m.Parents should pay close attention to the enrolment procedures and note that in 2013/14 Castleknock Community College was only able to provide places to siblings of existing students and those first time applicants living in Area B. School Reports by Email
We would like to distribute School Reports by email this year. Your child/children’s Report will be sent directly to this email address. However, if you do not wish to receive your child’s School Report by email, please email info@stpatricksns.ie ASAP stating your child/children’s name(s) and class teacher(s).
New Payment Method
We are trialling a New Payment System here in St Patrick's. We chose the Fifth Class Tour for the first trial but have also offered it to subsequent tours. The system allows parents to pay through a very secure system. It will cancel out the need for writing cheques and sourcing exact amounts for payments, etc. It will also automatically enter the record of the payment against your child's entry on our Aladdin school database. All outstanding payments are automatically listed in the email sent to parents. Please note that we are only seeking the Class Tour payment at this time. If your email shows the 2014/2015 Extras Fee, please note that this can be paid any time between now and April 2015. Thank You for your cooperation in this trial. We are confident that the system will benefit both parents and the school in monitoring and recording payments. If you have any queries about the syste! m, please feel free to email info@stpatricksns.ie.
