Parents Association News

"Scientific Sue"
We are happy to announce that on Monday, 20th October 2014, Scientific Sue will come to St. Patricks' and treat the students of 1st through 6th class to an exciting show and demonstration. It's fully funded by the PA so there will be no charge for the students. We wish all the children a fun and interesting time!

School Photographs
The school photo proofs have been sent home this week. Please return all orders by Wednesday 22nd October at the very latest. The school photographer, Richie Gavin, will call to the school on Wednesday afternoon to collect the orders. Late orders, along with payment, can be posted directly to Richie Gavin Photography to the following address: Richard Gavin Photography, 113 Malahide Road, Donnycarney, Dublin 3. Tel. 01 851 0000. Please remember to write "St Patrick's N.S." on your Proof Sheet.

New Payment System (Elavon)
We have a New Payment System here in St Patrick's and we therefore no longer wish to accept cash. This new method allows parents to pay through a very secure system, using your ATM/Debit/Credit card. It will cancel out the need for writing cheques and sourcing exact amounts for payments, etc. It will also automatically enter the record of the payment against your child's entry on our school database and issue you with a receipt.  An email is sent to parents with all outstanding payments automatically listed. We are confident that the system will benefit both parents and the school in monitoring and recording payments.

Extras Fee 2014/2015
(e.g. Book Rental/Photocopying/Pupil Insurance/IT/Stationery/Visual Art)
Thank you to everyone who paid their Extras Fee for the 2014/2015 School Year. If you have not yet paid the fee (€65 per child), an email was sent to you with the link to our new method of payment. This is our preferred method of Payment for this and all future school payments. All payments for the 2013/2014 year must be paid before payment for 2014/2015 academic school year.

It is imperative that all children are punctual in the morning. The 20 minutes between 08.30am and 08.50am is a very important time in the school day. This is when the younger children have activity time or structured play. It is also a time when teachers get to correct homework or hear children’s reading.

Staff Car Park
Parents are asked not to park in the Staff Car Park between 8.10am and 2.30pm, the only exception being parents collecting disabled or injured children. We would be grateful if you could also inform anyone who may be collecting your child/children on your behalf of this procedure. If you are returning to the school to drop off forgotten lunches, schoolbags, etc. during the school day, we would ask that you park in the bus stop area and enter via the Pedestrian Gate. (Please close gates after you leave). Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
