Intel Volunteer Grant Programme

Many thanks to our Intel parents for the voluntary work they have done for us this school year. A cheque for $500 has been received and will be used to develop our ICT Resources.

Green Schools

“On the 20th of May, three of St Patrick’s N.S. Green Schools members went to The Helix.  In The Helix there were schools from all over Fingal.  There was an award ceremony and lots of schools got their school flags.  We received our Travel Flag from the Mayor of Fingal, Mags Murray.  This was St Patrick’s fourth flag and you can only get six flags, so two more to go.

St Patrick’s Green Schools Committee would like to thank all the children, parents, teachers and Mr Thynne for helping us to get our fourth flag. It was a great experience for everyone involved. We hope to carry on to get our fifth and sixth flags.” Green Schools Committee

Croke Park here we come! (Date not yet confirmed)

“Last Monday, the girls’ camogie team, made up of girls from 5th and 6th class, played in the Cumann na mBunscol semi-final in Tymon Park against Scoil Garrán Mhuire from Goatstown. Maura Mooney was the captain and won the toss so we had the advantage in the first half with the wind behind us.

At half-time, the score was 2-2 to 0-1 in our favour. They came back with a last minute goal but it was too late. We had won the match with a final score of 4-4 to 1-1. We’ll now be playing the final in Croke Park and hopefully we can bring home the trophy again this year!” By Caoimhe Slevin and Laura Keane

Reminders

Visual Arts Exhibition

Our third and fourth class children have been working with Blathnaid O'Brien Donavan, on a fantastic Visual Arts Project.  The theme this year was Legends. The children worked in groups to put their stories to canvas using felt.  The result is a set of fabulous visual stories.  These will be exhibited for the parents of third and fourth class on June 4th from 6.30pm - 7.30pm, in our top floor gallery space. This is a great opportunity for parents to see for themselves, the hard work that their children have put into this wonderful project.
