Return of running kits

All athletes who have finished with their running kits should return them to school asap. Your child's kit should be placed in a bag (paper bag is fine) with the child's name clearly written on it, as all kits must be signed back in. Kits will be collected daily from the classrooms.

Parents Association News

School Sponsored Walk – “iWalk for iPads”

This week the children will receive a sponsorship form for the School Sponsored Walk.

You may have heard your children mention how they have used iPads in school to play educational games or for research purposes. The Parents Association contributed to the funding of these iPads and a multiple docking station last year. The iPads have been hugely successful, so much so, that the Board of Management would like to purchase another class set.

To facilitate the purchase of the iPads, we are hosting an “iWalk for iPads” Sponsored Walk.

The children will walk from the school on Thursday 16th June (time to be confirmed) to Tír na nÓg and will complete a circle of the park. We would love to invite any parents who are around at that time to line the route in the park and support the children as they walk.

Whilst all the children will complete the walk, there is no obligation on any child to complete a sponsorship form. If a family wants to complete one form per family rather than per child, that is perfectly fine. Completed forms and monies raised should be handed to the class teacher on or before 16th June.

We hope that the children have fun on their walk and that they and their younger siblings will reap the benefits of their efforts in the coming school years.

Reminders

Parent Helper Coffee Morning

We would like to invite all our parent helpers to a coffee morning in the school on Tuesday 21 June from 10.30-11.30am. This is to acknowledge all the help that we received this year.  The helped ranged from covering books, ATP events, accompanying children on tours/Mass/Communion & Confirmation practices, in-class help with guided reading, handwriting and maths to name but a small few.  In order to gauge numbers, we would ask that you RSVP to the Parents Association email address stpatrickspa@yahoo.com on/before Friday 17 June.

Walking/Running on School Walls

A number of children have been seen walking on the walls surrounding the staff car park at the end of the school days. Please advise your children that this is a dangerous activity and a Health & Safety issue.  Any children seen doing this will be reprimanded.

Moving House?

If you are moving house and your child will not be returning to St Patrick’s in the new school year, it is vital that you make contact with the class teacher and the Main Office as soon as possible as it will be necessary for you to complete a Transfer Form.   We have a number of children on waiting lists for all classes and we would like to be able to contact these parents as soon as possible.

Extra Curricular Activities

All enquiries re Extra-Curricular Activities should be directed to the activity organiser (see Extra-Curricular Activities Page on our website).  Where the activity is organised by a staff member, please email info@stpatricksns.ie
