Active Week
A reminder that all parents are welcome and encouraged to participate in the 5km ParkRun in Porterstown this Saturday at 09:30am. This would be a great way to involve all members of our school community in the 'Active Week'. We would like to thank all the people who have volunteered their time to come in to the school during Active Week.
World Book Day
World Book Day takes place today Wednesday 01 March. All children will receive a book token worth €1.50
which can be used to purchase a special World Book Day edition of a children's book, or can be used against
the price of a regular book. It is advised to go shopping sooner rather than later as the special books can sell
out quickly!

Food Dudes Vegetable Week 6-10 March
Well done to all the children who continue to bring fruit and vegetable as part of their lunch every day. Many children are used to bringing fruit everyday and forget about the vegetable options.
To highlight vegetables as part of a healthy lunch option, we will host a Vegetable Week in the school next week. We are asking the children to make a special effort to bring in, and eat vegetables as part of their lunch every day next week.
Vegetables in any form are suitable such as lettuce in a sandwich, tinned sweetcorn with tuna, tomato in a pasta salad, peppers in a rice salad or a portion of raw vegetables. Children can bring a portion of fruit if they wish, but the emphasis will be on the vegetables. There will be certificates for participating children and some spot prizes. Thank you in advance for your support.
