Finals of the DUBLIN 15 Cross Country League
“We all were nervous and excited at the same time. First the 3rd class and 5th class children had their races, then the 4th and 6thhad theirs. It was so nice, everybody was cheering each other on and congratulating each other. When I was there, I met lots of my friends and made some new ones too! We were all so busy that some of us didn’t have time to eat. Instead, we had our lunch on the bus while singing songs and laughing. It was one of the best days ever.” Aoife McElduff Ms Walsh 4th Class
“I think the cross country races were fun. I liked it so much I’d like to go again. The first few races I was scared I’d be last but no, I think I got 18th. It wasn’t the best but I was happy with the result. It was very kind of the others to cheer for the people with stitches or twisted ankle.” Cillian Berry Ms Walsh 4th Class
“Last Tuesday (10th April), our school took part in the Finals of the Dublin 15 Cross Country League. The boys won a trophy for the school. Ms. Meeley and Mrs. Soulsby came with us and they were very proud. Everyone had a great time.” Ruby Buckley & William Downey - Mr. Heneghan's Class
Return of cross country running kits
Can all members of our school cross country team please return their running kits (green t-shirt, black shorts and green athletics singlet with school name on it) next week? The kits will be collected daily from the classrooms. However, it is important that each child returns his/her kit in a bag (preferably a paper bag, please) with name clearly written on it. This is to ensure that all kits are “signed back in” and that we receive all of them. Please do not return kits to the office. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated in this matter.
