Stay Safe

Children in Senior Infants, Second Class, Fourth Class and Sixth Class will be covering ‘The Stay Safe Programme’ in the coming months.  The programme takes six to eight weeks to complete.  Children will receive homework every week and we would encourage parents to discuss this homework with their children as a vital part of the programme.  If you  have any questions about the programme please visit www.staysafe.ie.  We appreciate your continued support.

Aladdin Connect

The Aladdin Connect App costs €2021 per year, irrespective of the number of parents who sign up.

If it were fully utilized, it would save the school money by

Reducing costs by eliminating the need to send school report cards by post. In previous years, printing and posting Report Cards costs the school in excess of €550;
Reducing costs by reducing the number of text messages that need to be sent. During the 2017/2018 school year we spent in excess of €3000 on text messages alone.

Last May, we rolled out Aladdin Connect and the FREE Connect App.  If you haven’t already done so, we would urge all parents to download the App to their smartphone or tablet.

Aladdin Connect is a fantastic way to enhance a school's communication with parents. It enables parents to stay connected and informed about their child's education by:
- Ensuring that the school has their most up to date contact information
- Keeping parents up to date on school news via noticeboard messages
- Allowing parents view their child's approved Report Card. School reports can only be accessed through the App. We can no longer email school reports.

Along with strengthening our home/school partnership, we also envisage that by downloading the Aladdin Connect App on your phone or tablet, you are:
- Helping to reduce the amount of class/school notes being sent home;
- Helping the school/teachers communicate with parents when the need arises;

To start the process, please email info@stpatricksns.ie requesting us to send you the text/email message containing your registration link.  There will be one link per parent which will allow the parent to access information for all their children in the school from one user account. Please do not forward this text/email or share this link as this is a unique registration code for each parent for your child/children in this school. During registration you will choose a password that will be used in conjunction with your email address to securely access the Aladdin Connect going forward.  Once you are registered you will be sent an email with links to download the Aladdin Connect App for your mobile device. The main advantage of using the App is to receive immediate alerts for app messages sent by your school. Downloading the free App is highly recommended to enhance both the parent and school's Connect experience.

By default, both parents will have access to view their child’s contact information. If for any reason you do NOT wish to share your own personal contact information within the family circle or if you have any concerns regarding your particular family, please contact the school in confidence to discuss or have this facility restricted.

If your email address or phone number has changed since you returned your Re-Registration Form last April, please email info@stpatricksns.ie with the new details ASAP.

CUDA Primary School Quiz

“On Tuesday 26th of February, we went to Scoil Bhride Cailiní to complete in CUDA Blanchardstown and District Credit Union Quiz.  During the quiz, there was some hard questions.  There was a break at round five and we were leading by three points.  But during about round eight, we got three questions wrong and were overtaken.  When we had finished round 10, there was a computer glitch delaying the results (extra suspense).  Scoil Thomais won first, we were in a tie-break for sedond place.  We lost and came third.  But we got through to the All-Ireland Finals on Saturday 09 March 2019 in Enfield.”
