Guzzler Junior Energy Workshops
This week children in Senior Infants and First Class participated in an interactive Energy Workshop facilitated by two science representatives from SEI (Sustainable Energy Ireland). They met a strange character called Guzzler who taught them about energy efficiency and environmental awareness through various experiments and activities. Workshops will continue next week.
Water Bottles
We would like to bring to your attention that clear transparent soft plastic water bottles are not designed for reuse. However, there are reusable plastic bottles, drinking beakers and flasks available on the market and we would recommend that the children use these.
Mobile Phones
The school cannot accept any responsibility for theft, loss, damage, or health effects (potential or actual) resulting from mobile phone use.
Please do not allow your child to bring a mobile phone to school unless it is absolutely essential as mobile phones are a distraction.
If it is necessary for your child to bring a mobile phone, it must be switched off and in schoolbags from the time they arrive at the school gate in the mornings until after the leave the school grounds in the evening. A number of pupils have ignored this rule and in accordance with school policy, their phones have been confiscated.
