Week Ending 21st November 2008Early School Finish on Friday 28 November
The Department of Education & Science carried out a Whole School Evaluation of St Patrick's N.S. during this school term. A Post evaluation meeting with school staff is also part of the procedure. This meeting will take place on Friday 28 November at 1.15pm. As a result, it will be necessary to dismiss all children at Infant Home Time (1.10pm) on Friday 28 November.
Junior Infant Christmas Shows
The Junior Infant classes are getting ready for their Christmas Show "Whoops-a-Daisy Angel" (dates below). Performances begin at approximately 12.15pm for parents and friends. More details will be available nearer the time.

Christmas Card Design Competition
Thank you to all the children who entered the competition to design the school's first Christmas Cards - the entries were all really good. The winners are:-

Christmas Fair
Thank you to all the families who have contributed to our School Christmas Fair so far. We have received a huge amount of toys and books and we now feel we have sufficient toys for babies and young children. We still need toys for older boys and girls. We also require a lot more bottles if we are to have a Bottle Stall. We need donations of bottles of wine, spirits, minerals and cans of minerals/beer. You can drop them into the school next week on Tuesday & Thursday at morning and afternoon collection times and also every evening from 7-8pm at the school. We need your help for the Christmas Fair to be a success. If you are available on Saturday 29 or Sunday 30 November to help with setting up or helping on the stalls on the day, please contact Olivier on 086 8352920 or Marie on 087 9935551.
Confirmation Enrolment Ceremony - Reminder
The Enrolment Ceremony for 6th Class Children will take place in St Mochta's Parish Church on Tuesday 25 November 2008 at 7pm.
Folens Christmas Annual
Folens Christmas Annuals, priced at €5 each, are now available through the school. Order forms are beside the Parent Information Notice Board. Orders with payment will be taken in the main office on Monday & Tuesday, 24 and 25 November only. No late orders can be accepted.
GAA
"On 13/11/08 the B Team played Scoil Thomais in Tir na nÓg beside CCC. We played a good game but sadly we lost. We scored a few goals and points in the second. We can't wait to play Scoil Thomais again next year." Katie & Luke K - 5th Class
"One of our school's gaelic teams were playing in a final against St Francis Xavier's for the Porterstown Cup. The whole team played well. We had the lead for most of the math but Xaviers kept on playing their best, no matter what the scoreline. It was a great day for all who took part. We are very proud of our players and coaches for the cup and everybody who came to support us each week. We are delighted to have won the cup and bring silverware back to the school".
