Castleknock Schools Group win Fingal Community Group of the Year Award

Following on from the success in establishing the new Luttrellstown Community College, the group were recognised by Fingal County Council for their supreme effort. Congratulations to the entire group for their achievement.

Science in School
Parents are invited to view the science work of 4th & 5th Class on Wednesday 3rd
December between 1.00pm and 2.00pm. This work is part of the children's endeavour to procure a second Discover Primary Science Award. So come along to see some of the exciting experiments that have been taking place in our school!

Rainbows Ireland
We are still open to applications and enquiries about our Rainbows support group for children who have experienced a separation or bereavement in the family. If you think your child would benefit from such a group, contact Andrea and she will give you a contact number for Ms. Gannon, who is coordinating the groups. There are also information letters available on the Parent Information Notice Board.

Junior Infant Christmas Shows
The Junior Infant classes are getting ready for their Christmas Show "Whoops-a-Daisy Angel" (dates below). Performances begin at approximately 12.15pm for parents and friends. More details will be available nearer the time.

Sacrament of Confirmation Dates
The date for Confirmation has been set for Monday 25 May at 11.00am in St Mochta's Parish Church.

Romanian National Day
01 December marks the National Day in Romania. May we wish all the Romanian families in our community a very happy celebration.

Christmas Fair
The Fair is on this Sunday from 1pm - 5pm. It promises to be a great family day out! We hope you can support it.

Junior Infants September 2009
Applications Forms for Enrolment for Junior Infants (September 2009) will be available in St Patrick's N.S. and St Mochta's N.S. from Wednesday 07 January 2009. Registration will take place in both schools on the following dates:

Monday 02 February 10.00am - 12.00noon & 7.00pm-9.00pm.
Tuesday 03 February 10.00am - 12.00noon only.
Wednesday 04 February 10.00am - 12.00noon only.

March and Demonstration against the Education Cutbacks

The education cutbacks announced in the budget are the most drastic for twenty years. They will damage the education service at every level. Parents, teachers and managerial groups have united in opposition to the cutbacks and will be jointly organising this march and demonstration.

ASSEMBLY POINT IS PARNELL SQUARE AT 12 NOON, MARCHING TO MERRION SQUARE.

It is of vital important that this march and demonstration is supported by as many people as possible to demonstrate to the government that damaging our education service is damaging our community, our society and our future economic and social well-being. All the partners in education are asking all parents, teachers and lecturers and all those involved in education in any way to support this march.
