Lenten Fundraising Event
This year our Easter Egg Raffle for the Lenten Fundraising Campaign is supporting the Niall Mellon Township Trust. This organisation sends volunteers to Cape Town, South Africa to build houses for families who live in extreme poverty in the townships. This year Mrs McCarthy will be among 500 volunteers travelling to the township of Mbekweni from 19 to 29 March, to build 75 houses. The tickets for the Easter Egg Raffle will be on sale from Monday 09 to Friday 13 March. The winners will be announced by Mrs McCarthy after her trip on the day of the Easter Holidays, Friday 03 April.
Mobile Phones
Should parents feel the need for their child to bring a mobile phone to school, it must be kept in the schoolbags or as directed by the class teacher. Mobile phones must be switched off during the school day, on school premises, grounds and during off-site school activities. In emergency situations, children may ask their class teacher or at Reception for permission to use the phone. Pupils who ignore this policy will no longer be allowed to have a mobile phone in school. The school cannot accept any responsibility for theft, loss, damage or health effects (potential or actual) resulting from mobile phone use.
