The School will be closed on Monday 16 March for all children as teachers have a School Planning Day. It remains closed on Tuesday 17 March for St Patrick's Day and reopens on Wednesday 18 March at 08.30am.

School Choirs in A GALA CONCERT
A Gala concert in aid of the IRFU Charitable Trust will feature both St. Patrick's Friday Choir and Choral Scholars. The concert will be on at 8pm in the Helix on Tuesday 28th April. Tickets €35, €32.50 available from www.thehelix.ie or on 01 700 7000.

Swimming
Please note there will be no swimming class on Monday 16 March 2009.

Downey Lanigan Academy of Irish Dance
Our Annual Féis (Irish Dancing Competition) took place last Sunday 08 March in the Castleknock Hotel. Congratulations to all the children who participated and were awarded prizes. Keep up the good work.

Dramaworks
The DramaWorks Festival of Poetry will take place on Thursday 19th March in the library at the following times:

• 6pm-6.40pm - First and Second Class students
• 6.45pm-7.10pm -Third Class students
• 7.15pm-7.50pm Fourth Fifth and Sixth Class students
  Parents and friends are invited and very much encouraged to attend.

Typing Course
A Touch-Type Read & Spell Course for Children & Adults with spelling and reading difficulties, Dyslexia and other learning difficulties commences in Castleknock Community College on 18 March 2009. Information is displayed on the Parent Information Notice Board and on www.ttrs.co.uk.

French for Children - La Jolie Ronde French Classes

Enrolment is still taking place for La Jolie Ronde French classes and there is still some availability left for those who are interested. More details on the methodology can be found on www.lajolieronde.co.uk. Thursday afternoon - Diswellstown Community Centre @ St. Patrick's National School - There are still some places left in some of the classes especially for children from 3rd to 6th class. A few places left also for 1st & 2nd class group. The class for Junior and Senior Infants is full. Saturday morning - St. Mochta's Parish Centre, besides St. Mochta's Church, Luttrellstown Road, Porterstown - There are still a few places for children 3rd to 6th class and also for the younger children. Please note the pre-school class is full but there is a possibility of joining next group if your child is starting school in September 09.
